Using Lorenly on a tablet
The mobile app runs on tablets as well as phones, which makes it a natural reception or treatment-room device.
What is different on a tablet#
- Both orientations. On a tablet the app works in portrait and landscape and turns with the device, so you can stand it whichever way suits the counter. On a phone it stays in portrait, so one-handed use is predictable.
- More room. Screens use the extra width instead of stretching a phone layout, and the calendar has more room for staff columns.
Good uses#
- A reception tablet running the calendar, with the tab bar set up for the front desk, see Customize the mobile app tabs.
- A treatment-room tablet for reviewing and taking client photos on a bigger screen.
The console on a tablet#
You can also open the console in the tablet's browser. The calendar has a Fullscreen button that suits a screen at the desk, see Calendar views, staff columns & filters.
Tip#
If the app does not turn with the tablet, check the rotation lock in the tablet's control centre: it overrides the app.
