Workflow: bring back clients who leave a booking unfinished

How Beauty Art Pro uses abandoned booking recovery to email clients who stop before finishing, and how to switch it on in Lorenly.

Some clients choose a treatment, a time and type their email, then get interrupted. Abandoned booking recovery sends them one friendly email that reopens the booking where they left it. Beauty Art Pro keeps it switched on.

The setup at Beauty Art Pro

  • Abandoned booking recovery is switched on, with a 2-hour wait before the email.
  • A visit is captured once the client has typed their email on the details step.
  • Most captured visits finish on their own: 13 of the first 20 became bookings without any email, and Lorenly counts those apart from recovered bookings.
  • The email is in the language the client was booking in and links back to the service, the team member and the time they had picked.

One email, a few hours later, that reopens the booking on the client's choice.

Set it up in Lorenly

  1. Go to Settings → Programs and open Abandoned booking recovery.
  2. Switch it on and set Wait before nudging (hours). A few hours is enough for most clients to finish on their own first.
  3. Use Test to see the email before it reaches clients.
  4. To change the wording, open Abandoned booking recovery in Settings → Templates.

What the client sees

The client receives one email that names the service and offers a Finish my booking button. It opens your booking page on the service, team member and time they had chosen, and checks that time against live availability. If the time is gone, they pick another one.

This program and the other automatic programs are described in Loyalty programs & memberships.

Frequently asked questions

When is a booking counted as abandoned?

When the client has typed their email on the details step but has not finished. If they book later on their own, the visit is closed automatically and no email is sent.

How many emails does the client receive?

One. Recovery is email only and sends a single message after the wait you choose.

Does the link keep the time the client had chosen?

Yes. It reopens the booking page on the same service, team member and time, and checks that the time is still free.
