Reimbursement

Dietitian appointments are reimbursed for up to 180 minutes per calendar year through the basic health insurance package; the deductible applies. The practice has contracts with all health insurers. Additional reimbursement may depend on the policy terms.

Practical information

You do not need a referral to see a dietitian, although some health insurers may require one for reimbursement. For integrated care for Diabetes Mellitus type 2, cardiovascular disease or COPD, a referral from a GP or practice nurse is required.
