Dogs in Progress - Puppycursus / Gedragstherapie

About Dogs in Progress - Puppycursus / Gedragstherapie

Dogs in Progress provides dog behaviour therapy and puppy courses in Veldhoven and the Eindhoven region. Owner Roy Bazelmans helps owners raise a stable family dog and focuses on dogs' wellbeing.

Behaviour therapy

The approach starts by looking for the cause of the behaviour. Advice can be provided quickly; more complex situations may require a more intensive support programme.

• Single private lesson
• Support package – 3 lessons

Puppy course

The private puppy course consists of five lessons. The first three are at home; the last two take place in the enclosed woodland area.

• Toilet training and biting behaviour
• Basic commands and walking on a relaxed lead
• Reading stress and calming signals
• Brain games
• Controlled meeting with a stable adult dog

Approach

Training is force-free and focuses on wellbeing. Desired behaviour is rewarded, while unwanted behaviour is ignored and redirected.

• Rewarding desired behaviour
• Ignoring and redirecting unwanted behaviour
• No physical or mental corrections

About the owner

Roy Bazelmans is a qualified canine instructor and dog behaviour therapist. The dog behaviour therapy qualification is the NDTE.
