CuraMentis is a partnership of four independent psychologists in Valkenburg. The practice offers primary psychological care and treatments focused on solutions and symptoms.

Treatments

The psychologists offer, among other things, cognitive behavioural therapy, supportive therapy and trauma treatment with EMDR. The treatments are mainly based on cognitive behavioural therapy.

Symptoms and requests for help

The practice treats, among other things, anxiety and mood symptoms, burnout, sleep problems and relationship problems. Attention is also given to coping with loss and grief, trauma, and questions of faith and meaning.

Approach

After registration, a psychologist will make contact by phone or email within a week to propose an initial meeting. After the intake and questionnaires, a treatment plan is drawn up; progress is evaluated during treatment.

Practical information

A standard appointment lasts 45 minutes of session time. Where possible or necessary, a home visit or an evening appointment can be arranged.

• Standard consultation: 60 minutes, including 45 minutes of session time and 15 minutes of writing
• Couples consultation: 90 minutes, including 75 minutes of session time and 15 minutes of writing

Reimbursement and cancellations

Many mental health problems are not covered by the basic health insurance package. Uninsured care may be partially reimbursed through supplementary insurance; most insurers do not cover couples therapy. Appointments must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.
