About Trimsalon Knip Doodle Hip

Trimsalon KnipDoodleHip is a grooming salon in Spijkenisse for doodles. The salon offers puppy familiarisation, grooming sessions and wash-only treatments.

Puppy familiarisation

Puppy familiarisation includes information about coat care, getting used to the groomer and equipment, brushing and combing, and trimming a few areas. The salon recommends an appointment when the puppy is around 12 to 15 weeks old.

• Information about proper coat care
• Getting used to smells, touch and the brush
• Standing on the table
• Brushing/combing
• Trimming around the eyes, paw pads and bottom
• Checking ears and nails

Grooming sessions

During a grooming session, the coat is blown out and dried, brushed and detangled, then clipped or shaved to the desired length. Nails are trimmed if needed.

Washing

A wash treatment consists of washing with warm water, shampoo and conditioner, drying with a high-velocity dryer and brushing out the coat. The coat must be free of tangles for a wash-only treatment.

Approach

Each doodle receives one-to-one attention in the salon. No other doodle is present during the grooming session unless the customer has brought two doodles.
