Dikke Duim! offers coaching for children and families in Sittard. The support focuses on strengths, communication and dealing with obstacles. Dikke Duim! also offers coaching for children throughout Limburg.

Coaching for children

The support is positive and starts from the child’s strengths. It addresses topics including resilience, self-confidence, emotions, concentration, fear of failure, processing stimuli and changes.

Family coaching

Family coaching focuses on communicating in a way that builds connection, discovering needs and strengths, and finding suitable solutions together. It also addresses respect, rules and agreements, and stressful moments at home.

Programmes

The coaching programme for children consists of an intake, a child plan with a strengths profile, five coaching sessions every other week and a final evaluation. Family coaching includes an intake with the parent(s), a kitchen-table conversation with the family, a family plan, three sessions and an evaluation.

Practical information

An intake meeting takes place with the parent(s) and is free of charge and without obligation. A child does not need a referral or diagnosis to receive support.
