Osseointegration

In osseointegration, an implant is placed in the bone of the stump, to which the prosthesis is connected using a click system. The treatment pathway includes screening, an initial appointment, surgery and rehabilitation.

Who it is for

Osseointegration is intended for patients with an arm or leg amputation who have problems wearing a socket prosthesis. The clinic also describes criteria for who may or may not be eligible.

Practical information

A referral from a GP or medical specialist is required for treatment. The first contact for the initial appointment preferably takes place by video call.
