Courses

The programme includes a basic electrical engineering course and training for mechanics and technicians at MBO (Dutch secondary vocational education) level. The private basic course is taught one-to-one.

Practical work and course content

The basic course covers assembling electrical installations and troubleshooting faults. Participants practise tasks including wiring, circuits, sockets and measurements.

• Build a safe electrical installation
• Troubleshoot faults
• Expand or replace meter cupboards
• Connect lighting circuits
• Install sockets
• Bend PVC conduits and pull installation wires
• Measure current, voltage and resistance

Class times and location

The regular basic course lasts six weeks, with one practical lesson per week. Private lessons are held on days and at times chosen by the participant.
