Studio Vacht is a small-scale dog grooming salon in Purmerend. The salon offers grooming and care treatments, including puppy introduction sessions, with an approach that is considerate of the skin, coat and animal.

Treatments are tailored to the dog’s skin and coat condition. The approach includes washing, drying, brushing, combing, and caring for the nails, ears and coat style.

Puppy introduction sessions

Puppies get used to the grooming procedures step by step. The introduction sessions are intended to provide a calm and positive start at the salon.

• Introduction at 9 weeks
• First familiarisation session at 12 weeks
• Second familiarisation session at 16 weeks
• First full grooming treatment at around 5 à 6 months

Approach and hygiene

The salon follows a set safety and hygiene protocol. The dog is collected as soon as the treatment is finished, so it does not stay at the salon longer than necessary.

• Professional quality products tailored to the skin and coat
• Regular customers can have the hair around their dog’s eyes trimmed free of charge between appointments

Training

The owner is a qualified dog groomer and is affiliated with the ABHB (Dutch professional association for dog groomers). The owner also has certificates in canine first aid and allergy recognition.
