Child coaching

The child's or young person's skills and strengths are used to address problems. A program usually consists of 3 to 6 one-hour sessions, depending on the support request.

Approach

A child coaching program starts with an informal introductory meeting, usually by phone, followed by an exploratory conversation. Sessions may use conversation, play, drawing and crafts.
