Novio Oogzorg is an eye centre in Nijmegen, Gorinchem and Zwolle providing primary and secondary eye care. The optometrists examine and assess eye complaints and abnormalities and refer patients to an ophthalmologist if needed.

Optometric examinations

The examinations focus on eye health and detecting or assessing eye diseases. The practice also carries out preliminary examinations for laser eye surgery and lens implantation, and provides follow-up checks after the procedure.

Dry eyes

For dry eye complaints, Novio Oogzorg examines the tear film, eyelid margins and cornea. Depending on the findings, treatment may include advice on eye drops and eyelid care, meibomian gland expression or punctum plugs.

How it works

Depending on the examination, an appointment lasts thirty to sixty minutes. The practice works by appointment and requires a referral from the GP; the examination is reimbursed and does not count towards the deductible.

Locations

Novio Oogzorg holds clinics at locations in Nijmegen, Gorinchem and Zwolle. Clinics are generally held on Fridays in Nijmegen, Fridays and Saturdays in Gorinchem, and Mondays in Zwolle.
