About Hondessori ZintuigenTuin

Hondessori ZintuigenTuin is a dog garden in Midwolde. Dogs can move freely and use their senses in an enclosed setting.

The ZintuigenTuin

The garden covers almost 2.000 square meters. The setting is designed to let dogs explore independently and make choices.

• Smell, sight, sound, taste and touch
• Making choices independently
• Moving without a lead, where possible
• Awareness of the body and movement

Who it is for

• Puppies, adolescents and senior dogs
• Anxious, withdrawn or physically limited dogs
• Dogs with problem behaviour who are receiving behaviour guidance
• Shelter dogs
• Owners who want to get to know their dog better in a safe place

Behaviour guidance

There is limited availability for individual behaviour guidance. During a visit, a specific situation can be discussed and basic advice can be given where possible.

Approach and arrangements

Visits are by appointment only. An intake with an explanation is required at the first visit.

• The dog must wear a well-fitting Y-harness when on a lead
• Use a long lead of at least 3 meters
• Give the dog time to explore independently
• Clean up dog waste
