Rijschool By Bart

About Rijschool By Bart

Rijschool By Bart is a driving school in Medemblik, in the West-Friesland region. The school provides car driving lessons in a manual transmission car and uses the Rijopleiding In Stappen (Step-by-Step Driving Course, RIS).

Driving lessons

Lessons are available from Monday to Friday and, by arrangement, possibly on Saturdays. Students can be picked up from home or school and dropped off there afterwards.

• Individual 60-minute driving lesson
• Combined lessons with a friend; travelling together for two hours

Lesson car and progress

Lessons take place in a petrol-powered Volkswagen T-Roc with a manual transmission. Progress is recorded on a driving instruction progress card.

Packages

During the first lessons, the school assesses which package is the best fit. A lesson hour lasts 60 minutes; any lessons paid for but not used are refunded.

• Package 1: iTheorie and 30 lesson hours
• Package 2: 35 lesson hours
• Package 3: 40 lesson hours
• Package 4: 45 lesson hours

How it works

The school uses the Rijopleiding In Stappen (Step-by-Step Driving Course, RIS), with four modules and tests. The Tussentijdse Toets (interim test) is recommended; the student decides whether to take it.

• Module 1: controlling and operating the car
• Module 2: special manoeuvres and traffic situations
• Module 3: difficult controls, vehicle handling, manoeuvres and situations
• Module 4: driving safely and responsibly

2toDrive

Practical lessons are available from age 16.5. The theory test can be taken from age 16 and the practical test from the 17th birthday, if the requirements are met.
