Reimbursement and referral

Treatment of mental health disorders by an independently established BIG-registered (Dutch healthcare register) care provider is reimbursed under the basic health insurance policy. Reimbursement depends, among other things, on the policy and any contract with the health insurer. A referral from a GP is required for generalist basic and specialist mental health care (GGZ).

Practical information

The therapists work in separate independent practices and do not have a shared point of contact for new clients. Appointments can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance.
