Approach

After registration, BTSW first schedules an intake meeting with the parent. This is followed by an introduction to the child; the action plan is discussed, and treatment or additional assessment can begin. Parents receive updates along the way, and an evaluation is scheduled.

Treatment methods

Individual treatment may use play, drawings, conversations, film, music and metaphors. The frequency depends on the child's capacity, the issues involved and the opportunities to work with the material at home.
