About Kracht in Balans

Kracht in Balans is a practice for child coaching and parenting coaching in Hengelo. The practice offers short-term, solution-focused support to children and parents.

Child coaching

The coaching focuses on what a child can already do and on practising solutions for now and the future. The aim is to work on a support need in no more than five sessions.

• Self-image and behavioural problems
• Bullying and being bullied
• Fear of failure, insecurity and self-confidence
• Coping with separation, moving or bereavement
• Giftedness and underachievement
• Learning how to learn, homework planning and execution
• Motivation problems
• Communication and social skills

Approach

Support may include conversations, relaxation exercises, visualisations and creative play activities. Some sessions are with the child alone and others include parents.

Parenting coaching

In conversations, the parent and coach explore what the child’s behaviour communicates and what practical options are available. Often one or two sessions are enough to continue with new insights.

• Reducing arguments and conflicts

Who it is for

The child and parenting coach supports children aged seven and over and their parents. For younger children, the coach prefers to speak with the parents.
