About Heft in Handen

Heft in Handen is a gestalt therapy practice in Hengelo. The practice offers holistic treatments for children, young people and adults, including gestalt therapy, help with parenting questions and individual family constellations.

Gestalt therapy

Gestalt therapy is experiential psychotherapy that focuses on the connection between psychological and physical complaints. The therapy uses conversation, bodywork, mindfulness, exercises and creative activities.

Children and young people

The practice supports children and young people with issues including emotional problems, concentration problems, attachment difficulties and sleep problems. The treatment methods are combined; about six to eight appointments are often sufficient.

Family constellations

Individual family constellations show how someone is connected to their family of origin system. They aim to clarify recurring patterns and remove blockages.

Approach

The practice takes a holistic approach and focuses on the client's request for help and growth process. The therapy explores what a person does and experiences in relation to themselves and their surroundings, and offers space to practice different behavior.

Heft in Handen Academy

The Academy is a school for life focused on personal development and spirituality. It offers workshops, courses and weekly group activities for adults and young people.
