About De Muziekmakers

De Muziekmakers provides music lessons in Heerhugowaard for children aged 4 and up. The offering includes group lessons, school projects, workshops, and tailored lessons for special education.

Offering

Children explore instruments, sing, move, and create music in group lessons. There are also projects for primary schools and workshops for special occasions and team building.

Lessons

The lessons cover musical styles and cultures, musical concepts, singing, playing together, and reading music. Children also make their own music.

Who it is for

Groups are organised by age and developmental level. SO and VSO lessons are taught in small groups of up to five children or pupils.

• 4-5 years: kindergarten
• 6-9 years: years 3-5
• 9-12 years: years 6-8
• 4-12 years: special education (SO)
• 12-20 years: secondary special education (VSO)

Location and timetable

Lessons take place at Wijkcentrum De Horst in Heerhugowaard. The regular timetable is on Mondays and Thursdays.

• Monday: kindergarten and years 3-5
• Thursday: years 6-8 and (V)SO

Fees and support

Regular group lessons last 45 minutes and (V)SO group lessons last 40 minutes. Monthly rates and individual lessons are available; a free trial lesson is possible. Municipal passes and Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur can help cover the costs.

Teacher

Larissa de Jong is a music teacher. She completed the Music Teaching programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and completed the first year of a Pabo (Dutch primary teacher training college) programme.
