About Fibbe - Haarlem

Fibbe provides specialist youth care for children and young people aged 4 to 18, with locations in Haarlem, Amsterdam and Zaandam. Support includes assessment, treatment and guidance at home, at school and at the practice.

Assessment and guidance

Fibbe helps children and young people whose learning development has stalled. The child, parents and school work together. Treatment and guidance take place at the practice and sometimes at school or at home.

Training and courses

Fibbe provides training for children, young people, parents and schools. Topics range from learning how to learn and social skills to a positive classroom climate and the adolescent brain.

• Training for parents on the adolescent brain and ADHD

Registration and approach

A referral for specialist youth care is required to register. After the registration form is completed, Fibbe considers which support and practitioner are suitable. This is followed by an intake, assessment and advice meeting.

• Referral via a GP, youth doctor or medical specialist, or, depending on the municipality, via a youth team
• Intake with practitioner
• Questionnaires and any additional diagnostics
• Discussion of assessment results and suitable treatment or guidance

Fibbe has locations in Haarlem, Amsterdam and Zaandam. There is also a location in Hoofddorp.

Insurance coverage and cancellations

For children under 18, specialist youth care is covered by the municipality if Fibbe has a contract with it. Appointments must be cancelled at least one working day in advance; a no-show fee applies if an appointment is missed or cancelled late.
