Fysiotherapie en Kinderpraktijk provides paediatric physiotherapy and a children’s group in Groningen. The practice treats children with motor development concerns and offers group training focused on motor and social skills.

Paediatric physiotherapy

After an intake, observation and any necessary tests, a treatment plan is drawn up. Exercises are suited to the child’s age and stage of development; infants and young children are often treated at home.

Children’s group

The group is for children who find it difficult to interact with peers. The training uses, among other things, Rots en Water (Rocks and Water) and includes group sessions and parents’ evenings.

Approach

Parents sign their child up for the training. This is followed by a discussion and assessment with the parent and child to see whether group therapy is suitable.

Location

The children’s group meets in the Fiduciaschool building in Groningen. Toddlers aged 0 to 2 years and children with a severe disability are almost always treated at home.
