Amacura Volwassenzorg B.V. provides specialized mental health care for adults aged 18 and over in Geleen. Care includes specialist assessment and treatment for a range of mental health problems, eating problems and lifestyle questions.

Care provided

AmaCura considers which treatment or combination of treatments is the best fit. Some treatments can take place individually or in a group.

• Psychodiagnostic assessment as part of treatment
• Psychiatric assessment as part of treatment
• Cognitive behavioral therapy
• Trauma treatment: EMDR, ImRs and IE
• Personality-focused treatment, including schema therapy and person-centered experiential psychotherapy
• Creative and movement therapies as part of treatment, including PMT and art therapy
• RiskCare treatment for severe and morbid obesity
• Group programs, including an ADHD group, an autonomy group and ‘Being a parent, quite an art’
• Social psychiatric treatment
• Pharmacotherapy

Approach

AmaCura discusses clients’ needs and considers together with them what type of care or support is suitable. Clients remain in control of their own recovery process.

Registration

You can register with a referral from a doctor or care provider and a BSN (Dutch citizen service number). After registration, an appointment is made for a phone call with a care provider.

AmaCura is based at Geleenbeeklaan 90 in Geleen. The secretariat can be reached by phone on weekdays; AmaCura can be reached by email during office hours.
