Support and treatment

The practice offers support for young children through Infant Mental Health and for children aged 6 to 18. Theraplay is a playful, structured therapy in which parent and child work together on their relationship.

Approach

A course of care begins with an intake meeting with the parents, usually followed by a separate appointment with the child. A treatment plan is drawn up based on the child's development and support needs; treatment is tailored to the child's age and takes place in collaboration with the parents.

Practice and collaboration

The practice is based at Gezondheidscentrum Wildeman. It collaborates with disciplines at the centre and works closely with (pre)logopedie (speech and language therapy); in Son en Breugel, the practice is affiliated with Kinderparaplu.

Reimbursement

In most cases, treatment is reimbursed through the Jeugdwet (Youth Act), provided there is a valid referral and authorisation. The practice has contracts with municipalities through two regional partnerships.
