EduCanem

About EduCanem

EduCanem provides dog training in the Delft region. The trainer gives private lessons at home or at a nearby location, and offers a puppy course with private lessons.

Private training

The private lessons focus on general obedience, raising a puppy or a specific goal such as recall. The approach is animal-friendly and scientifically sound, with attention to both owner and dog.

• General obedience
• Raising puppies
• Recall

Puppy course

The puppy course consists of four 60-minute private lessons, with handouts, an e-book about puppy biting and aftercare. Lessons focus, among other things, on socialisation and everyday situations; appointments are arranged and changed by email or face to face in consultation.

• Walking without pulling
• Attention to the owner
• Playing and letting go on command
• Socialisation
• Self-control
• Coming when called (recall)

Approach

Aversive methods are not used in private training or tracking. Desired behaviour is encouraged and rewarded; for extreme or complex behavioural problems, the trainer refers clients elsewhere.

• Rewarding desired behaviour
• Clicker or reward word

Service area and languages
