Sportschool Herbert is a martial arts school in Ede, established in 2016. The school offers classes for children and adults in judo, jiu jitsu, grappling, sambo and boxing, among other disciplines.

Martial arts

There are classes for different ages and levels, from tumbling judo for young children to sports for adults. The programme also includes boxing bag training and body-focused boxing coaching.

Private training and self-defence

Private training is individual and by appointment. The school also offers self-defence training and individual modules such as resilience training.

For children

Tumbling Judo is for children aged 3 to 6, and Kids Judo is for children aged 7 to 12. During the first Tumbling Judo classes, parents may join their children on the mat.

Instructors and accreditations

Classes are taught by instructors under the leadership of Nico and Jan Christiaan Herbert. The school lists several affiliated organisations and is an SBB-recognised training company (Dutch vocational education and training accreditation).

Location and accessibility

The dojo is on Akulaan in Ede, within walking distance of Ede-Wageningen station. There are bus stops 40 meters away and parking with charging points.
