Walking coaching

A programme starts with an introductory walk of 30 to 45 minutes. In most cases, this is followed by two to five walks, with reflection, questions, exercises and practical actions.

• People who want to make a change in their lives
• People with stress, insomnia or physical discomfort
• People who want to explore their feelings or express themselves more
• People who lack purpose, meaning or (room to live)

Approach

During walks, the coach uses methods including conversations, rational emotive training, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and exploring meaning in life.

About the owner

Gerrit de Vries has worked in art, architecture and education and has completed courses and training in bodywork and walking coaching.

Service area and complaints procedure

Walking coaching takes place within a radius partly determined by the client. The practice lists walking areas around Amsterdam, Diemen, Bussum, Hilversum, Waterland, Naarden and Muiden. The therapist is covered by GAT-Wkkgz complaints law and GAT disciplinary law.
