Pelvi-Care is a practice for pelvic and pelvic floor physiotherapy in Den Haag. The practice treats problems in the abdomen, pelvis and lower back.

Treatments

The practice offers specialist pelvic physiotherapy for problems in the pelvic area. The first session includes an explanation and assessment, and a treatment plan is drawn up.

Conditions and specialisms

Treatments focus on problems in the abdomen, pelvis and lower back, including issues with urination, bowel movements, sexuality and pregnancy. NIMOC mobilisation is among the methods used for tailbone complaints.

Approach

The first session includes time for an explanation, assessment and treatment plan. If pelvic pain after childbirth is limiting, the physiotherapist can visit at home during the kraamweek (first week after childbirth).

Practical information

The practice is open on weekdays during office hours; appointments outside these hours can be arranged by agreement. Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

Reimbursement

Pelvic physiotherapy is covered by supplementary insurance that includes physiotherapy. For urinary incontinence, the first nine sessions are covered once by basic health insurance and count towards the excess.

Quality and communication

The physiotherapist is registered with the KNGF Quality Register and the BIG-register (Dutch healthcare register). Dutch and English are spoken at the practice.
