Muuk' Pilates

About Muuk' Pilates

muuk' pilates is a Pilates studio in Den Haag. The studio follows the original Pilates method of Joseph and Clara Pilates and offers private, duet, trio and group sessions using equipment and mat work.

The method

The studio follows the original system of exercises and uses the equipment designed by Joseph Pilates, preserving its original features. The method focuses on strength, flexibility and control.

Sessions

Sessions are tailored to the participants and their level. A private session is individual; duet and trio sessions are for participants at the same level with aligned goals. Group sessions are divided by level.

• Private sessions: individual, tailored to personal needs, using all equipment
• Duet sessions: for two people at the same level with aligned goals, using all equipment
• Trio sessions: for three people at the same level; training on the reformer, mat and wall unit
• Group sessions: groups of up to four people, divided by level; training on the mat and wall unit

Initial consultation and approach

A programme starts with a one-hour individual initial consultation. Needs and expectations are discussed, the space and equipment are introduced, and the basic principles of the method are applied in a first training session.

The studio

The studio describes the space as an environment designed to support relaxation, alertness and awareness during Pilates practice.
