Group therapy

In eight weekly sessions, participants work on understanding their symptoms and recurring patterns. The treatment uses techniques from CBT and schema therapy and can be followed on its own or alongside individual treatment.

Approach

After registration, the practice makes contact to arrange a screening interview and an intake interview. A treatment plan is then discussed together and evaluated regularly. Important people close to the client can be involved in treatment.

The practice lists adults, children and young people as client groups. Group therapy is intended for adults who have difficulty with mood or emotion regulation.

• A referral from a GP is required to take part in the group
