Approach

During the intake meeting, the dietitian discusses the reason for seeking help, expectations, health, medical history, living situation, eating habits, and exercise pattern. Follow-up appointments focus on applying tips and changing patterns.

About the dietitian

Carla van Mensvoort graduated from Hogeschool Arnhem en Nijmegen in 1987. She works as a dietitian in a hospital and also has her own practice in Boxtel; she takes courses and training.

Reimbursement and practical information

Diet advice is covered by health insurance for three hours per calendar year. For chronic conditions, diet treatment through ketenzorg (integrated care) may be fully reimbursed; participation in GLI Slimmer (Dutch combined lifestyle intervention) is fully reimbursed.
