Kennisklas Huiswerkbegeleiding

About Kennisklas Huiswerkbegeleiding

Kennisklas provides homework support for secondary school students in Barendrecht. Students work on their schoolwork after school and receive help with planning, organising and getting started.

Homework support

Students from different schools and at different levels can work on their schoolwork in a calm, safe and stimulating environment. Support is tailored to each student's needs, such as structure, help with planning or additional explanations of course material.

Support packages

Kennisklas offers two forms of homework support. The foundation is the same; the intensity and level of support differ.

• Basic support: focus on structure and independent work, with guidance when needed.
• Support Plus: more intensive guidance with tackling schoolwork.

Approach

Both packages begin with a telephone intake with a parent or guardian and an intake with the student during the first support session. Depending on the package, Kennisklas offers, among other things, supervision while working, subject-specific help, progress reports and periodic feedback.

• Help with planning, organising and setting priorities
• Subject-specific help and support with test preparation and being quizzed
• Support goals, session reports and feedback, depending on the package

About Kennisklas

Kennisklas works with a small team of support staff and coordinators. It is an independent organisation that is not affiliated with a specific school.
