Psychosomatic physiotherapy

Treatment focuses on persistent physical complaints that are not explained, or not fully explained, by medical examinations. Together, factors that maintain the complaints are explored, and work is done on recognising bodily signals and relaxation.

• Persistent pain complaints
• Complaints when moving or breathing
• Physical complaints associated with anxiety, panic, trauma, stress, tension, burnout or depression

Breathing and relaxation therapy

The Dixhoorn method helps people become more aware of physical or mental tension and regulate it. Treatment uses spoken instructions and gentle hands-on techniques.

• Breathing and relaxation therapy, Dixhoorn method
• Support for lung problems such as COPD, asthma or COVID-19

Approach

The first appointment is online and starts with the client's request for help, wish or desire. Breathing and relaxation therapy usually consists of four online appointments lasting 30 to 60 minutes.

Practical information

The psychosomatic physiotherapy practice has no contracts with health insurers. An appointment must be rescheduled or cancelled at least 48 hours in advance; later cancellations will be charged.
