PDS Praktijk offers support for IBS (PDS) and abdominal pain in Apeldoorn and online. The support focuses on calming the abdomen and gaining control over symptoms.

Support

Support starts with an intake to discuss symptoms and goals. The programme consists of an intake and 5 to 12 sessions, with exercises to do at home.

Methods

Depending on the symptoms, different therapies may be used. Nutrition may sometimes be included as an additional component; Mirte is not a dietitian and does not offer FODMAP guidance.

Who it is for

The support is intended for people diagnosed with IBS (PDS) who have ongoing symptoms. People with certain other diagnoses can also receive support if diagnosed by a doctor.

• Unexplained abdominal pain
• Remission of ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease with IBS (PDS) symptoms

Practical information

Support is one-to-one, online or in Apeldoorn. Sessions last 90 minutes. A free introductory meeting lasts 20 minutes.

Reimbursement and cancellations

Part of the costs may be reimbursed, depending on supplementary health insurance. Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
