Alexander Technique

The method focuses on releasing tension, improving posture and moving with greater ease. Lessons increase awareness of habitual patterns and can be applied to everyday activities and making music.

Individual programmes

The programmes consist of private lessons, workshops, masterclasses and targeted feedback. There is a three-month foundation course and a five-month advanced course.

• Catching the Wave: 3-month foundation course, starts 3 times a year
• Riding the Wave: 5-month advanced course, starts 2 times a year

Online courses

The online courses consist of video lessons, audio lessons, text and illustrations, and can be followed at your own pace. Think Up offers courses for musicians and violin and viola players.

Maaike Aarts is a professional violinist and Alexander Technique teacher. She has more than 24 years of experience and has worked with more than 1000 students.
