Approach

Appointments are scheduled with plenty of time. The practice uses, among other things, a plaque test to provide insight into oral hygiene and support self-care at home.

Treatments

The dental hygienist checks for tartar, plaque and early dental problems. For a dentist's assessment, the practice can contact the patient's own dentist or refer them to a partner dental practice, if desired.

Technology

Treatment is carried out using the EMS Prophylaxis Master and Airflow. A dye makes biofilm visible, after which the teeth are cleaned.

The practice uses nationally set NZA (Dutch Healthcare Authority) rates. Reimbursement for dental hygienist treatments under supplementary dental insurance depends on the insurance policy; treatments for children up to 18 years old are fully covered by the basic health insurance.
