Stichting Centrale Dierenambulance is an animal ambulance service in Amsterdam. The organization helps animals in (medical) emergencies and transports, among others, missing, found, sick and deceased animals. It also microchips and registers cats and rabbits.

Help for animals in need

The call centre assesses reports, gives advice and dispatches an animal ambulance where needed. A fee is charged for help with your own pet; help for found stray animals and animals living in the wild is free.

Microchipping

The organization microchips and registers cats and rabbits. The appointment takes place at Voorlandpad 2; the owner waits in the waiting room while the chip is implanted.

Special deployments

• Cold-weather scheme: taking dogs belonging to people who are homeless or without a permanent home to a warm shelter and returning them to their owner the next day
• Team for deceased pets found at the scene
• Regional crisis and emergency team

Practical information

The call centre is available day and night; between 23.00 and 08.00 only for emergencies. Contact for microchipping appointments is by email only.
