Kaleidos is a specialized GGZ (Dutch mental healthcare) institution in Amsterdam for LGBTQI+ people. The institution offers short-term and long-term treatment, individually, with partner(s), as a family or in groups.

Who it is for

Kaleidos provides care to LGBTQI+ people with mental health problems related to being LGBTQI+. Services include transgender care, intersex care, HIV and mental health, and rainbow families.

Registration and reimbursement

You can register using the registration form or through a GP or another care provider. Treatment is covered by basic health insurance with a DSM-5 diagnosis and a referral; the deductible applies.

• There is a registration stop.
• Couples and family therapy and support for rainbow families are exceptions to reimbursed care.

Practical information

If you cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours in advance, you can do so free of charge by phone or email. With less notice, Kaleidos charges €85; these costs are not reimbursed.
