Het Ingeborg Douwes Centrum is a specialist GGZ (Dutch mental healthcare) centre of expertise for psycho-oncology in Amsterdam. It provides psycho-oncology care to people with cancer and those close to them.

Who it is for

Individual treatment is available for people who have or have had cancer, those close to them and bereaved relatives. Clients can attend alone or with their partner or family.

Treatments

Treatment is tailored to the questions and needs discussed during the intake and evaluated after a number of sessions. The centre generally describes short-term treatment of 8 to 12 sessions within specialist GGZ (Dutch mental healthcare).

The Blended Care care pathway combines a digital intervention at home with sessions with a master’s-level psychologist, online or at the centre. Ingeborg Douwes Centrum also offers E-health modules and online Lutografie.
