Topics

In coaching programmes, young people can work on a range of questions and challenges.

• motivation
• insecurity and self-confidence
• emotions and needs
• arguments
• friendships
• grief and loss

Approach

The first contact is often by phone. This may be followed by an introductory meeting, an intake meeting and sessions. The approach and frequency are tailored to the young person, their support needs and their goals.

For parents

A parent can make the first contact or leave it to the young person. A parent attends the intake meeting; from age 16, the young person decides whether they want a parent to join them.
