Dentics

About Dentics

Dentics is a referral practice for paediatric dentistry in Almere Poort. Children aged 0 to 13 can receive specialist dental care there.

Who it is for

The practice treats children who have difficulty with treatment, for example when a child is very apprehensive about treatment or is still very young. After the child's teeth have been restored and they are better able to undergo treatment, Dentics refers them back to the referring dentist.

• Children aged 0 to 13

Treatments

Treatments are carried out with explanations, structure and time. In special cases, a child may be given a mild sedative or treated under general anaesthesia.

First visit

A child can be registered after the practice receives a referral letter. The first consultation lasts around 30 minutes; treatment almost never takes place during that visit.

Practical information

A referral can come from a regular dentist, GP, oral surgeon or child health clinic (consultatiebureau). If an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance or missed, the practice charges for the reserved time.
