About Praktijk MINT

Praktijk MINT is a small-scale youth mental health practice in Alkmaar for ages 0 to 18. The practice offers diagnostics, guidance, treatment and advice for children, young people and families.

Services offered

Diagnostics can be used to gain a clearer understanding of symptoms and behaviour. Treatment is tailored to the request for help and may include individual conversations, family conversations, parent guidance or consultation with the school.

Approach

Registration starts with an intake involving conversations with parents and the young person, a developmental history and an advice session. Commonly used forms of therapy are individual therapy and family therapy; talk therapy, play therapy and group therapy are also used.

Who it is for

Babies, toddlers, children and young people up to age 18, and their parents, can contact the practice with questions about behaviour, trauma, attachment, development, parenting and learning.

Practical information

The practice is located on Luttik Oudorp in Alkmaar. Treatments take place only on weekdays and during office hours. A referral letter is required to register.
