Orthowest is an educational psychology practice in the municipality of Altena, with locations in Dussen and Wijk en Aalburg. The practice provides psychosocial help to children, young people and their parents, with guidance on learning, behaviour and parenting.

Dyslexia and assessment

Orthowest offers specialised dyslexia treatment for diagnosed severe, single-condition dyslexia, as part of reimbursed care when the preliminary process requirements have been met. Assessment may be part of the treatment plan.

Approach

After registration, an intake meeting maps out problems and treatment goals. The practice takes a solution-focused approach and coordinates treatment with parents and, if needed, the school.
