Approach

The first consultation takes place at the practice or at the client’s home. The dietitian discusses the situation and diet, draws up a treatment plan together with the client and chooses changes to work on at each consultation. Phone consultations and video consultations are also available.

Measuring body composition

Body composition is measured with a Tanita Body Composition Analyser. The dietitian explains the results; goals can also relate to body fat percentage or muscle mass.

Practical information

A referral is generally not needed. For a home visit, according to the practice, a referral letter from the GP stating that a home visit is necessary is required. Appointments can be during the day and, at some locations, in the evening.
