Approach

Contact begins with an introductory meeting with the parents and therapist. This is followed by sessions in which the therapist builds a connection with the child, explores the concern and looks at wishes and possibilities together with the child.

• The first session is an introductory meeting between the parents and the therapist.
• I usually see your child for three to five sessions before we have another conversation.
• Your child is at the centre.

Who it is for

The practice supports children and young people and involves parents in the support. For children aged twelve and over, it is helpful if they attend the first conversation.
