Praktijk Verbindend provides intensive, tailored treatment and specialist support for anorexia nervosa and complex cases. The practice is based in Oosterwijk and works with children and young people aged 10 to 18.

Treatment is tailored to the child or young person and takes place at an external location in the area around their home address. Support and treatment are integrated into daily life.

Target group

The tailored treatment is intended for children and young people who lack suitable help or whose regular care has stalled. It also mentions young people who rely on tube feeding or need intensive support at home or at an external residential location.

Treatment and support

Treatment may include individual therapy, lived-experience expertise and treatment of underlying issues. The family and other care providers involved are included in the approach.

Approach

A tailored treatment programme starts with a three-month period. The setting generally provides one-to-one support and 24/7 support; two-to-one support may be used where a high-risk policy applies.
