Spel! is a practice for play therapy, play guidance and play advice in the municipality of Oirschot. The practice supports children with emotional problems and in developing their play.

As well as play therapy and play guidance, there is a parent course focused on the relationship with the child and the child's self-confidence.

Play therapy

In client-centred play therapy, the child uses play to discover their own abilities and process problems. The therapist follows the direction indicated by the child.

Who it is for

Play therapy is mainly for children aged 3 to 14 with social or emotional problems or traumatic experiences. It can also be used with children and adults with an intellectual or physical disability or AS (autism spectrum disorder).

Approach

After an informal introductory conversation, an intake and observation period follow if needed. Parents are involved through evaluation conversations and contact in between.
