Support is tailored to goals, opportunities for exercise, and family circumstances, without a strict diet. The practice offers advice on, among other things:

• CVRM care chain (Dutch coordinated care program for cardiovascular risk management)

• Irritable bowel syndrome and FODMaP diet

• COPD and other lung diseases
• Gout
• Migraine

Approach

Support is personal and practical. After an intake of about 60 minutes, the client receives a document with nutrition advice and practical tips within a week; follow-up appointments last 30 minutes.

Locations and home visits

Consultation hours are in Groningen, Bedum, Usquert, Appingedam, Winsum, and Middelstum. If someone cannot come to a location, the dietitian visits them at home.

Reimbursement

Everyone is entitled to three hours of reimbursement through the basic health insurance. A referral letter from the GP is usually not needed.
