Kindercoaching van der Veld

About Kindercoaching van der Veld

Kindercoaching van der Veld provided tutoring and support in Middelie. The practice was no longer accepting new clients and made way for Dierenwijs.

Tutoring and support

The support was aimed at primary school pupils and secondary school students. Lessons could be tailored to a child’s needs and difficulties.

• Tutoring in primary school subjects
• Tutoring in some secondary school subjects
• Language, including reading comprehension, reading fluency and spelling
• Maths, including learning basic facts and understanding concepts
• Dutch for non-native speakers
• Cito test support
• Help with reading and spelling difficulties, dyslexia, maths difficulties and dyscalculia

Approach

Support took place at home around the kitchen table. After a free, no-obligation initial meeting, the options and an action plan were discussed with the parent.

• Support in a home setting
• Regular updates on progress

New direction

Support for children, young people and adults took on a new form within Dierenwijs, which offers small-scale daytime activities with animals.

• Animals, calm, structure and personal development are central
