Praktijk Röder is a healthcare psychologist, child and adolescent psychologist, and relationship and family therapist in Leiden. It offers therapy for children and young people, relationship therapy and family therapy, as well as supervision.

Therapy

The practice offers various therapy options for children aged 0 to 18, adults, partners and families. Since 2011, Irma Röder has used the EFT method for relationship and family therapy.

Relationship therapy

Relationship therapy can focus on romantic partnerships and other relationships, such as between siblings, a parent and an adult child, or friends. EFT maps underlying patterns, emotions and attachment needs.

Family therapy

Family therapy uses EFT, adapted for families as AFFT. Sessions can take place separately with parents and the young person; goals include better communication and repairing relationships after conflict.

Practical information

The practice is based at Gezondheidscentrum ‘Leidse Hout’. Young people can only be referred after consultation with the referring professional.

• Therapy dog Charlie can be part of treatment if desired.
• Supervision programmes can usually start after 1-2 months.
