About Jessica van Soest - Paardentandarts & Dierenarts

Jessica van Soest is an equine veterinarian in Langbroek who specialises in dental treatment for horses. Ponies and donkeys may also need dental treatment.

Dental treatment

The treatment brings the teeth into balance by removing unevenness and rounding off sharp edges. The aim is for the teeth to meet properly and for pressure to be distributed as evenly as possible.

• Dental treatment for horses
• Dental treatment for ponies
• Dental treatment for donkeys

Approach

Jessica uses electric equipment and usually treats horses under sedation. The mouth is rinsed regularly with water during treatment. Owners can receive an explanation and look and feel before and after treatment.

• Electric filing
• Sedation
• Check of dental balance

Practical information

Treatment requires a place to hang the halter, electricity and water. After the sedative is given, the horse must not eat for the first two hours.

About Jessica

Jessica started her own practice as an equine dentist in 2018 and took several courses in dental treatment.
